One of the things I learned from the enlightened wealth institute is how to master affiliate marketing. It is a great way to start making money online because you don’t have to spend tons of time creating a product, creating a customer service department and a sales page.
What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is where you sell someone else’s products or services and receive a commission. This allows you to start your online business with practically no start up costs or overhead because you only focus on sending traffic to someone else’s sales page and if they buy, you get a commission. You can find great products and services to sell at sites such as clickbank.
Seven ways that can increase your success in affiliate marketing are:
1) Promote products in the “hungry” niches such as making money online, dating, health and fitness such as how to lose weight, real estate investing how to, and self improvement niche such as hypnosis and the overall “Tony Robbins” kind of genre of information.
2) Concentrate on only one niche at first because then you can get good at driving traffic in that niche and understanding the customer needs and desires better.
3) Start using the power of social media and build communities around your niche. So for example if you are affiliate marketing for the ‘how to lose weight’ niche, then start a facebook business page, a twitter account, a youtube channel and a simple wordpress blog around that topic.
Leverage automation tools such as ping.fm so you can syndicate one message to more than one of your social media accounts. Consider using an RSS feed as well to automatically post great content about your niche to your social media sites.
4) Start to use online video. A instructor at the enlightened wealth institute taught me how to create simple free videos on animoto and Windows Movie Maker and then I submit the videos to more than one video sharing site by using another free automation tool called tubemogul.
5) Start using ‘flyers’ on your local grocery store announcement board. This is a “sneaky tactic” because you go where you have no competition. Who would ever think of selling something “online” in a brick and mortar place such as a grocery store announcement board. This was a great tip taught to me by my enlightened wealth institute instructor.
6) Leverage the power of Craigslist and other classified sites. There are still millions of people using Craigslist and you can for free, put an ad up on craigslist. The best thing to do is use pictures when posting a classified ad because that separates you from the rest of the ads.
Remember to make your title of the ad “stand out” from the rest by using such words in the title as “stunning”, “shocking”, “limited time offer”, or “only 10 left”.
7) Leverage the power of “other people”. I was taught by the enlightened wealth institute to leverage OPT, other people’s time. You can do this by hiring a “virtual assistant” to do all the work for you in the above ways.
All you need to do is create a simple tutorial document or video on what you need done, use google documents to manage your virtual assistant and assign tasks and you benefit by having more time to have fun while you have systematized your affiliate marketing business!
